Sitting up in the PT chair.

Finally gets to shave off that funky beard.

Gabe’s chest tube is coming out this morning, which is the last major hole left with stuff coming out of it. There is still a feeding tube in at the moment which hasn’t been in use for a few days now but we think that one is coming out today too. His pain clicker was revoked (poor guy,) so now he actually has to ask a nurse for more meds if he needs them. The plan at the moment is for Gabe to be transported to the rehab center sometime tomorrow where he will finally get to see Ezra!

Gabe, I’m glad to see that things are moving in the right direction, and to see a smile on your face. I check this website at least once a day for updates, and sometimes just so I can have your picture on my computer screen, keeping me company, and keeping you in my mind. Thanks to Pete and whoever else is involved for maintaining this site. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wishes they could be there in person to help out.

    Hello Gabe and family,
You have a lovely wife and beautiful baby. I was so sorry to learn of the tragic crime that happened to you a few weeks ago. My friend and I were having lunch when she mentioned this wonderful market where you worked and then your story. I hope you improve quickly, get back to work at that market and live a long happy life with your family and friends.

Glad to hear that your reunion with Ezra is right around the corner! I find myself on this website daily to see if there are any updates. I’m not so sure about the shaving however, my 5yr old son Avery has taken to calling you the “scruffy guy on the computer”!!!
Keep it up…I’ll be back tomorrow!!

GO FOR IT GABE! Although being a “bearded-one, we will have to talk about “beard removal” in terms of its impact on the machinations of retaining the scent during the arduous non-automated task of wine-tasti…(.WHA’ DA HECK IS E TAWKIN’ ABOUD?!)
Gabe, Brooke, Ezra Moses(way-cool name!), Luke, Jason, Pete, David, Nancy, and the rest of your multitudinously bodacious family and friends, you are blessed bigtime, I can see. But know that I and my Connie are in this for the “long-haul”. Your Mom and Dad are good people, I and Connie are lucky to spend time with them.
The Dude above is not done with you! WE ARE WITH YOU!

    Gabe and family-
It is so good to see you up (but actually we look on the site and we like the beard, along with the grey stripe). We hope the time at the rehab is slight and that your Thanksgiving brings you time with your (whole) family.
Take care, our thoughts are with you and yours.

    Aloha Gabe,
I am thankful that each day seems to be a solid step forward for you. Your spirit amazes me. I look forward to seeing pictures of you with Ezra. I think he looks like his aunt Nancy must have looked as a baby.- Maybe it is the short hair.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and all your family.
