Moving Day!
Hello everyone. It feels strange to have my first post be about our move, but I want to be certain that everyone involved has all the necessary info. I’m working on a real post to address the events of the last month, and I’ll put it up soon. At any rate, Brooke, Ezra, and I are moving into an apartment temporarily, until we can find a house that is more suitable to my new physical constraints. The incredibly kind people at Stuart Moving and Storage are moving the bulk of our things to the apartment on Friday. There is additional moving, to a few different locations for storage, on Saturday. Moving always brings to light the sheer amount of material junk we accumulate over the years. Brooke, Katie, Megan, Dana, and Kathy have done a great job of sorting through a lot of that detritus, and figuring out what to do with it. Less is more, right? I digress. The chairperson for our moving committee is Mollie Eley, and she has done a tremendous job. If you would like to help this weekend, and/or need information, please contact Mollie at molliegoose[at]hotmail[dot]com. Thank you all for your help this weekend, and more importantly for your thoughts, prayers and well-wishes. You have no idea how powerful they are in the process of my recovery. More to come soon…
love,
g

Sorry to see you leave our wonderful neighborhood, but I can see how your home is probably not suitable for your changes now! We wish you the best with the move and wish we were avaiable to help but alas! our dance studio calls with our annual Christmas show this weekend! Keeping you in our prayers!
Jordan Family. Finally going to Penn. for Christmas this year. My wife Amy and I would like to see you all, if possibe, on our return to IL. All of you are in our thoughts everyday. Gabe, I’ll call Mike or your mom to see if this would be possible. Love you all, Josh Tell
Moving day! Can’t wait for you guys to be settled in your new (temporary) place. I know it will only help you get stronger. Way to go ladies with all the purging!! It sure feels good to get rid of all that “stuff” doesn’t it

Gabe, fantastic to hear your voice on the blog. We’re thinking of you, Brooke, and Ezra every day, missing you, and looking forward to having you back in our food lives very soon.
It makes me so happy to see that life is getting under way. I look forward to seeing what new directions you find for yourselves.

Just wanted to let you know that you are in all of thoughts over at Motus Dance Theatre. We are pullin for ya every step of the way. And speaking of steps, we would be willing to put a few together if the chance to dance would arise in any of the fundraisers.
Sending you strength, patience and peace,

Hi: Trying to keep warm here (-17 this morning). So sorry to miss moving day. Thinking of you all. Love and kisses.
Thinking of you all today as you move into your new (albeit temporary) home. Cold but sunny, it will be a crisp day to start on yet another new chapter in your life as a family…there is always something about moving into a new place that provides such an open outlook into the future, such a clean slate to work with, even when you are sad to leave the home you had been enjoying. Enjoy the newness of life and your first Christmas with Ezra!
Gabe, it was so good to see you this weekend. Your Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.) hoodie was priceless. Having you over was like same old Gabe! I hope you felt that comfortable too. Come over again soon to decorate more cookies…very theraputic! It was obvious that Brooke and Ezra were overjoyed to see you. What a great present! Love, The Holoms
I hope everything goes smoothly for your move, Gabe. I’ve had you in my thoughts on a daily basis and I look forward to these updates. I was thrilled to see an update from you, as well as one from Brooke. To read words that came from you, well, it makes me so damn happy that you’re alive and healing! Much love to you, my friend.
Gabe, Brooke and family,
Gabe, I know that you met very few people in Minot and Brooke I only met you at Amy’s wedding but I watch the web every day for updates. I have called several friends and asked for their thoughts and prayers (Gabe-I saw that-wipe that smile off of your face right now.) Anyway, to my surprise, I was told this weekend that you have been placed on a number of prayer chains and obviously, it must have something to do because every update I get I hear you are doing better.
In one of my first email I mentioned that I have an electric scooter. I use it at school, but very rarely and I would be major glad to get it to you if you want it. It will not fit in our house (Tom’s wheel chair barely gets through doorways) and this is not wider, but bigger. I promise I will get it to you one way or the other. Just let me know.
I have to get to school-finals week-but keep up the good work-there are many friends out there that you need to get to know, some day.
Paula
Yay! I hope that the move is done. Possibly scary and wonderful. Thinking of you.
Julie
Hi Gabe!
It’s great to hear your “voice”. I’m not able to make it home this year for the holidays, but want to try to get there after the first of the year. I’d love to see you and your family then.
Happy holidays!
love,
Amanda
g stands for go, Gabe, go. You are amazing. Hope the new pad is working out well so far. It sounds like the north end of Indy just got even better inpiring even Santa to make an early appearance I heard. All kinds of gifts await you and your family, Gabe, as you keep on, keepin’ on. Go Gabe go. Love, Tess
